TRUK bounced back from last weeks defeat to beat in form EX Girlfriend at Forest Gate on Tuesday night. Ex Girlfriend however nearly took the lead when the impressive Cassie struck the inside of the post from the half way line in the first minute! TRUK took the lead when Clark fed Copsey who fired home and they linked up again shortly after to make it 2-0 following some great skill from Clark. Copsey then grabbed her hat trick pouncing on the lose ball and smashing home from 10 yds out. Some calamity defending then saw Ex Girlfriend get back in the game as they made it 3-1 only for Copsey to race clear and finish well to restore the 3 goal advantage. Orlagh then deflected a shot into the back of the TRUK net to make it 4-2 only for Copsey to finish well and make it 5-2. Ex Girlfriend then made it 5-3 when TRUK failed to pick up the runners and the ball was smashed home. Ex Girlfriend had a couple of chances to close the gap but could not hit the target and Clark and Copsey linked up again to give TRUK some breathing space. a 1-2 between Orlagh and Clark saw Orlagh score in the right end to make it 7-3
Second half started and Clark again found Copsey who made it 8 only for Ex Girlfriend to go up the other end and pull one back with a great finish. TRUK then had a stream of chances but either good goalkeeping or poor finishing kept it at 8 until the final minute when Copsey and Clark played a 1-2 and Copsey fired home into the top corner for her 8th or the game and TRUK’s 9th.
