TRUK crashed to defeat against EX Girlfriend FC who connivingly beat us at the 4th attempt. With only 5 players available TRUK’s plans were thrown into further chaos when Heather announced she was injured and could not play in goal which meant a debut for Abi between the sticks!
Ex GF started well and a great finish from Cassie put them one nil up within 5 minutes. Heather and Lucy Clark had shots well saved and Lucy Copsey dragged a shot just wide before a swift Ex GF counter attack saw them double their lead slipping the ball through Abbys legs with a great finish. Straight from the kick off TRUK lost possession and EX GF punished us to go 3-0 up which is how we went in at half time.
Heather had a shot into the side netting before Orlagh pulled one back with a great finish following a great run. Lucy Clark had a shot well saved with Lucy Copsey smashing the rebound high and wide….
Ex GF made it 4 capitalising on a sloppy pass….Lucy Clark then hit the post before Heather finished well to make it 2-4. Heather had another shot well blocked as the referee blew the full time whistle with TRUK crashing to a defeat before the Sky Cameras!
Thankfully no points were dropped as it was only a friendly!
