On March 31st this year (Transgender Day of Visibility) we made world history again as this time we fielded a team solely of Trans Masc People on a day of pure Trans Joy at Dulwich Hamlet FC, a day we also fielded a team solely of Transgender Women repeating our history making match from 2022.

542 people came to watch history being made despite the rotten weather and the night will not only go down in history but will be remembered by all in attendance. First up our team of Transgender Women played Dulwich Hamlets women in a repeat of the historic match from 2022. We gave a much better account this time round losing 1-0 to an early penalty and nearly grabbing an historic equaliser late on.

It was then time for the Trans Masc team to take the field the first time in the world an 11 a side team consisting of solely Trans Masc people have played a match and what an occasion it was. The result was irrelevant as the newly formed team went down 8-1 against a well established team but the biggest cheer of the night was when Parker Dunn smashed home a free kick from 25 yards out. Had there been a roof it would have been blown off! The joy after the match was there for all to see and a photo taken by our very own Lucy Copsey captured the moment and was viewed over 6 million times on Twitter alone! We had players speaking to press and radio agencies from all over the world as the news of our historic night spread.

The whole event brought so much joy to our community and we are delighted that it has been shortlisted for the Good News Award by Pink news. Please can you all take 30 seconds of your time to vote for us which you can do by clicking the link below
