February 2023 was an amazing month for TRUK both on and off the pitch but here we are going to concentrate on our accolades of the green stuff!
Gaydio LGBTQ+ Pride Sports Team/Club of the year.
We went to the Hilton in Manchester on Friday 10th and was amazed to pick up the award of LGBTQ+ Sports Team/Club of the year! To win this award was amazing as we were up against some amazing teams and organisations throughout the UK and to be shortlisted was brilliant but to actually win the award blew our mind. We had an amazing night and thank everyone who nominated us and to also big thanks to Gaydio who put on an amazing night with 400 people in attendance.
Football V Homophobia Grassroots team of the year
At the end of the month we were back in Manchester at the excellent National Football Museum for the prestigious Football V Homophobia awards where we were delighted to be shortlisted in the Grassroots team of the year category. Yet again we were totally delighted to win this award and we had an amazing night meeting some amazing people. We are really proud and thank everyone for nominating us and we will continue to try and be ground breaking and make sure football is for everyone.
